1. A directory, not a party to any transaction
237EventsandCatering (“the Platform”) is an online directory and advertising space. We list independent businesses (“Vendors”) so that customers can find and contact them. We are not a party to, and take no part in, any agreement, negotiation, booking, payment or contract made between a customer and a Vendor. Every transaction is strictly between the customer and the Vendor concerned.
2. No vetting, endorsement or guarantee
Listings, photos, prices, service descriptions and contact details are provided entirely by the Vendors themselves. While we may remove listings that violate our rules, we do not verify, inspect, license-check, endorse or guarantee any Vendor, their qualifications, their hygiene or safety standards, or the accuracy of anything they publish. The presence of a business on this Platform is not a recommendation. Customers are solely responsible for doing their own checks before hiring anyone — ask for references, visit the premises, taste the food, put agreements in writing.
3. No liability for damages or losses
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 237EventsandCatering, its owner, operators and affiliates shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, losses or claims of any kind arising out of or connected to the use of this Platform or the services of any Vendor. This includes, without limitation: unfulfilled or cancelled contracts; late arrival or non-appearance of a Vendor; poor quality of food, products or services; food-related illness; injury to persons; damage to or loss of property; financial loss, fraud or misrepresentation by a Vendor or customer; and any dispute, mishap or incident occurring before, during or after an event.
4. Payments
Any deposit, payment or refund between a customer and a Vendor is made at the parties' own risk and is their sole responsibility. The Platform does not hold funds, process customer payments or offer refunds on behalf of Vendors.
5. Disputes are between customer and Vendor
Any complaint or dispute must be resolved directly between the customer and the Vendor. We may, at our discretion and without obligation, remove or suspend a Vendor's listing following complaints, but we assume no duty to mediate, investigate or compensate.
6. Indemnification
By using this Platform — as a customer or as a Vendor — you agree to indemnify and hold harmless 237EventsandCatering and its owner from any claim, demand, loss, damage or expense (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your dealings with any other user, or your breach of these terms.
7. Accuracy and availability
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or that information displayed is current. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service, or remove any listing, at any time without notice.
8. Changes to this disclaimer
This disclaimer may be updated at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
